The Leadership of the Children’s Ministry in Greater Accra Zone 3 (La, Adabraka and Teshie Nungua Administrative Areas) has admonished the youth to see themselves as the life line of the church and support the systems put in place by leadership for the development of the church.
This admonition was given when the Leadership of the Children’s Ministry in the Zone paid a courtesy call on the Youth Ministry on Saturday, 26th August, 2023 at the camp meeting at Salvation Army Officers Training School, Tema.
The Children’s Ministry congratulated the National leadership as well as the leadership of the three Areas that formed the Zone for a good work done to ensure a successful maiden Youth Camp Meeting. District and Local leaderships were not left out either, for their love, dedication, commitment and contribution in diverse ways.
Speaking on the theme for the camp meeting, “Making A Difference”-
2 Corinthians 6:17, the Children’s Ministry Leadership asked the youth in the Church to abide in the word of God and propagate it to influence friends and society, as Apostle Paul admonished Timothy to do.
The youth were called upon to intensify the church’s evangelical mandate of soul winning by being strategic in every activity as the onus lies on the them to preach the word. In so doing, their nature and attitude must attract individuals, both the believer and unbeliever so as to influence them to make a difference.
‘As you have been fed with the word of God, we encourage you to spread the word to your colleagues who in one way or the other could not make it to the camp meeting.’
The role of the Youth and their influence in the lives of children and was also mentioned; ‘Your little ones in the Children’s Ministry look up to you, hence make a strategic difference in your Areas, Districts and Local Assemblies as you are empowered by the Holy Spirit.’
Furthermore, the Leadership of the Children’s Ministry in the zone requested that the National, Area, District and Local leaderships of the Youth Ministry introduce more youthful programmes which would nurture and train the youth in the fear of the Lord so as to prepare them for future leadership positions whenever the opportunity comes for them to serve in the Lord’s vineyard and the corporate world.
Finally , the Children’s Ministry Leadership in the Zone presented their donation to the Youth Ministry to support the Maiden Camp Meeting. All these were done to strengthen the collaboration and cooperation between the two Ministries for the growth of children and youth in the Church.
