The National Youth Ministry of The Apostolic Church – Ghana, has held its maiden virtual facilitators training for facilitators across the country.
The training, dubbed, “Refresher Course for Facilitators” was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, via online.
The Leader of the National Youth Ministry, Apostle Andrews Nortey, led the training with a presentation on “Discipling young people”.
According to him, one of the challenges faced in this dispensation is the Generation Z Factor; these are those born between 1999 and 2015.
Apostle Nortey indicated that the current Youth are born into a global village. They have relativism culture and families in this dispensation are mostly ungodly, hence the need to put in measures to guide them on the right path.
Some measures were shared with participants on how to guide these young people. One of such measures is to dwell on the private factor, which means taking advantage of teachable moments to enlighten the youth on truths from the Bible in order for them not to be deceived by what they see and hear.
Participants were further encouraged to train up the youth the way they should go and involve them in prayer more often as well as create a discipleship family with them.
The virtual training brought together about 140 participants which included Local Youth Facilitators, Youth Ministry Committee Members in the Locals, Districts, Areas and National levels.
The next training was scheduled for March 18, 2023 which will also be virtual.
