The National Youth Ministry of The Apostolic Church Ghana (TAC-GH), has held its maiden curriculum training for Youth Facilitators.
The four-day training which was held at the Apostolic Resource, Retreat and Conference Centre, Frafraha, started on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, and ended on Friday, October 7, 2022.
According to the National Leader, Apostle Andrews Nortey, the training was held to train and equip facilitators to communicate the philosophy behind the ministry.
“This program is to train trainers who will go down to the various districts and locals to train facilitators in order to communicate the philosophy behind the youth ministry and let them understand basically what the youth ministry is all about”, he said.
“The training is also to equip facilitators with skills for teaching, interpreting the word, how to develop curriculum on their own , and the skill set that will be required for them to be effective facilitators,” he added.
In an interview with TAC TV, Apostle Nortey indicated that the ministry is a new ministry hence the need to reach out to its stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
Moreover, as new as the Ministry is, it requires an effective curriculum that will help state the objectives which will drive such a Ministry to build the kind of youth we desire and expect to have.
He further stated that the training was to help reach the aim of the Youth Ministry. Therefore, the curriculum training was focused on explaining key concepts regarding the youth curriculum and how to go about the it’s teaching in the various Areas, Districts and Locals.
The training brought together Area Youth Pastors, Leaders, Secretaries and members who desired to be Facilitators of the Ministry across the sixteen (16) regions in Ghana who were taught by seasoned and renowned resource persons; Apostle Andrews Nortey (National Leader), Apostle Jonas Philip Offei, Rtd. (Bible Teacher) , Apostle Christopher Affum Nyarko, (Former Principal of the TAC BIble College), Overseer Luther Quaye and Deaconess Endurance Naana Sakyiwaa (Educationist) all of the Apostolic Church – Ghana.
The National Committee and Sub Committee Members were also in attendance.
