The National Youth Leader, Apostle Andrews Nortey, has forewarned the youth of The Apostolic Church – Ghana, that making a difference comes with a cost.
Speaking at the Greater Accra Zone 3 camp meeting, on Friday, 25th August, 2023, at the Salvation Army Officers Training College, Tema, he emphasized on the need not to be associated with things that do not please God but be separated for godly works.
‘Making a difference is a matter of life and death. If you yoke unequally with unbelievers, you are on your way to death hence the need to be separated from the world and have life”, he said.
According to him, God has always wanted his people to be separated from the world for their own benefit. From the beginning of the world (mankind), God has always loved to make a distinction between righteousness and evil hence He (The Righteousness One) related with mankind directly until evil set in and He had to separate with man. Apostle Nortey therefore called the youth unto righteousness.
“Just as Righteousness has nothing to do with evil, so must our lives be separate from the worldly”, he noted.
Apostle cautioned that if we, Christians, are not separate from the world, we will also face destruction as the world. This happened in Egypt during the passover night when the angel of the Lord killed every firstborn child except the homes on which blood had been used at the entrance of homes.
Apostle Nortey further indicated that, “Making a difference must come from your inner man for it to affect your actions and the world at large”.
‘Making a difference starts with Regeneration; that is, to be born again (to be a child of God).’
God is interested in those who are born of Him and who worship Him in spirit and in truth. To this end, God has made His grace for salvation available to all people – Titus 2:11.
‘You need to be born again to make a difference.’
