The Core Values of the Youth Ministry of The Apostolic Church – Ghana, are embedded in the acronym C.H.R.I.S.T. (Creativity, Holiness, Responsibility, Integrity, Service and Tell Others)
Creativity
We believe that every young person is blessed with many gifts and talents. We aim to bring their creative abilities to light and to inculcate in the youth critical thinking and life skills. We will also guide the youth to be innovative and develop their abilities to transform their imagination and dreams into reality.
Holiness
We believe that God has called us to live a life of holiness. Therefore, it is essential to teach the youth to become mindful of God, to respond to Him in faith and to follow His will. We aim at imparting into the youth, the needed ability to develop a personal life of prayer and bible study. We will also aid them in committing themselves to a Christian standpoint on morality and sexual purity (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; 2 Corinthians 7:1).
Responsibility
We also aim to teach and equip the youth with excellent leadership skills and abilities for them to be faithful stewards in the church before they move to the adult’s ministry (1 Cor 4:2).
Integrity
We believe Integrity and honesty are important values that should be treasured. Integrity is “Who” you are when no one is watching. We believe that young people must taught to maintain their stance on positive beliefs and values even when they feel deserted and alone (Dan 1:8; 6:13).
Service
We shall focus on leadership and influence. We will guide the youth to be aware of the needs in society and guide them to take up initiatives that benefits society. We shall inspire and train the youth to see themselves as agents of change and to bring leadership and vision to their generation with the principles of the kingdom of God. We will also aim at teaching the youth to serve God wholeheartedly (Psalm 119:10).
Tell (Others about Christ: Evangelism and missions)
To guide the youth to participate in missions and evangelism activities and to assist them in developing the skills and spiritual gifts these ministries require is paramount (Acts 1:8).
