As part of the launch of the maiden National Youth Week, the Ashtown Central District in the Ashanti New-Town Area, Kumasi, chose to register the presence of The Apostolic Church Next Generation Youth Network (TAC-NGYN) in the Ashanti kingdom by going traditional on Sunday, 16th October, 2022.
The entire youth clothed themselves with beautiful traditional costumes to depict the various traditions in the country. The beauty of this decision was how the youth and their facilitators married their tradition and Christianity, and the level of awareness it created for the week celebration in the Ashtown community.
The youth were so enthused as they displayed their culture but within the context of churching.
The launching propelled the interest of the youth to actively participate in the National Youth Week which was characterized by inspirational and educative teachings, panel discussion, movie night and evangelical activities. It was climaxed at both the English and Twi services of the district with the enthusiastic youth running the service on the day, with some colourfully dressed in the new youth branded shirts.
Indeed, the TAC-NGYN has come to stay in the Ashtown District and has traditional effect.
