The Apostolic Church – Ghana, La Central District (LCD), has marked this year’s National Youth Week celebration with a preaching competition.
The competition was held on Saturday, 22nd October, 2022 at the La Central (Restoration) Temple under the theme, ‘Fire in my bones’.
Some of the youth were seen expounding on the word of God as they engaged in a healthy preaching competition among themselves.
According to the Acting District Youth Leader, Elder Stephen Annor, the initiative was to bring to bare the potentials in the youth and to develop them for the work of God.
“ ‘Fire in my bones’ is an annual preaching competition program organized to unearth the talents and potentials God has endowed our new generation youth with,” he said.
“We are doing this to be able to nurture these children in the fear of the Lord and also to build them to be confident and be enriched with the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,” he added.
Meanwhile, all contestants and locals who participated in the competition were awarded and given certificates for their participation.
The National Youth week program was held from Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd October and it was infused with variety of intriguing activities which got most of the youth involved and made it a success.
